Robert D. Lupton

Robert D. Lupton has been working for three decades in front-line urban work, implementing his "reneighboring" concept in three inner-city neighborhoods. He and his wife Peggy live in Grant Park, an inner-city neighborhood in Atlanta. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Georgia, and is the author of Return flight: Community Development Through Reneighboring Our Cities (FCS Urban Ministries, 1993), Theirs is the Kingdom: Celebrating the Gospel in Urban America (Harper and Row, 1989), Renewing The City: Reflections on Community Development and Urban Renewal (InterVarsity Press, 2005), and Compassion, Justice and the Christian Life: Rethinking Ministry to the Poor (Regal Books, 2007). He serves as the President of FCS Urban Ministries.
